The Edge 3000 Industrial Adapter differs from the original adapter. The original adapter has a button on the bottom of it that has to be pressed through the center of the pad. The Industrial Adapter features a slider that pulls back to release the locking mechanism. This design is more like an air hose quick connect. The slider may be easier to operate for some users with its textured grip and its location above the pad, rather than underneath it.
The Edge 3000 Industrial Adapter is built to last out of chrome-plated machined brass. The stainless steel locking mechanism is factory calibrated and sealed with Loctite. The adapter mechanism carries two U.S. patents. The Industrial Adapter holds onto the pad better when polishing on angles and when pressure is applied.
The Edge 3000 Industrial Adapter is for rotary (circular) polishers only. It has a 5/8”-11 female thread size. Use all your Edge 200 wool and foam pads with this adapter.
