The Electrified Sheepskin 4 inch Wool Light Compounding Pad is made out of fluffy sheepskin that’s electrified to remove microscopic barbs naturally found in wool. The result is softer, fluffier wool that’s ideal for light compounding and scratch removal.
The Electrified Sheepskin 4 inch Wool Light Compounding Pad removes up to 2000 grit sanding scratches. Because of the softness of the wool, the pad leaves few if any compounding swirls. Follow up with a Spot Buffs White Polishing Pad to completely restore the gloss.
The Electrified Sheepskin 4 inch Wool Light Compounding Pad can be used on a dual action polisher, a circular polisher, or a variable speed drill. The choice is yours.
On a circular polisher, use the 2-3/4 Hook & Loop Backing Plate to attach the pad to your machine. Work at a speed of 1000-1200 rpm.
On a dual action polisher, use the 2-3/4 Hook & Loop Backing Plate. Work at a speed of 5 or 6.
On a variable speed drill, use the 3.5 inch Dual Action Flexible Backing Plate. Work at a speed between 1000-1200 rpm.
Use the Electrified Sheepskin 4 inch Wool Light Compounding Pad with a light compound or swirl remover. Follow up with a polishing pad and a finishing polish to restore optimum gloss to the paint. Always finish with a wax to seal in the shine.
