For a five day trip, you have to take 5 shirts, 5 pairs of shorts, swimwear, sandals, sneakers, socks, underclothes, evening clothes in case you go out to dinner, and jeans and a sweater just in case. Throw in all your toiletries, snorkeling gear, camera, etc. and you’re all set. Multiply all this by the number of people going and that’s how much cargo space you need. We have yet to find a vehicle to hold all this, so we use the WeatherTech Racksack Rooftop Cargo Carrier for an extra 13 cubic feet of cargo space.
That’s enough space for up to four extra suitcases! You can literally double your cargo space with the RackSack so that you don’t have to leave anything behind. And you always come home with more than you left with, so the RackSack is perfect to free up room for souvenirs.
 The sturdy cargo carrier is made of 1800 denier woven Polyester fabric with water repellant PVC coating and nylon seam binding, keeping your belongings safe, clean and dry for the entire trip. Heavy duty webbed straps (1 ½ inches wide) keep the carrier in place. A soft, thick fleece pad on the underside protects the vehicle from scratching or abrasions. The WeatherTech Cargo Carrier cinches quickly and tightly to the rack. Removing it takes less than a minute, and the super-sized bag collapses and folds up in its convenient storage bag where it is safe from mildew, moisture and dirt. It stows away neatly in a closet or the trunk between uses.
Fully expanded the RackSack measures to a huge 39”x 32”x 18”- plenty of room for your family’s luggage.
As with all WeatherTech products, the RackSack is incredibly durable and will last you through many, many trips. It’s the secure, economical way to carry extra baggage and lots of it!
The RackSack is intended only for use with a rooftop luggage rack. Installation of the WeatherTech Rack Sack does not require crossbars across the roof of your vehicle. The side bars that run lengthwise down the roof are sufficient to attach your Rack Sack.
