Built to last, this rugged 3.7 amp polisher has 100% ball bearing construction. The spiral and bevel gearing provides for smooth operation and efficient transfer of power. A variable speed dial sets the orbit rate between 2,500 and 6,000 orbits per minute for precise control. The speed dial is on the end of the motor, out of the way, preventing accidental changing of the speed. A handy slide switch prevents hand fatigue when the unit must be run for the extended periods of time that polishing operations require. Dual Action 5 Inch HD Hook & Loop Backing Plate
Constructed of flexible urethane, this 5 inch backing plate has hook and loop material permanently secured from edge to edge. A recessed edge protects the paint from impact and the post is made of durable stainless steel. The 5/16 inch thread fits any dual action polisher with a corresponding thread.
2 CCS 6.5 inch Yellow Cutting Foam Pads
Use the yellow cutting foam pad to apply compounds or polishes to remove severe oxidation, swirls, and scratches. It is the most aggressive and should not be used on new or like-new paint finishes. Always follow this pad with an orange pad and a fine polish and then a white pad to refine the paint until it is smooth.
2 CCS 6.5 inch Orange Light Cutting Foam Pads
Firm, high density foam for scratch and defect removal. Use the orange light cutting foam pad with polishes and swirl removers. It’s an all around pad that will work on most light to moderate imperfections.
2 CCS 6.5 inch White Flat Polishing Foam Pads
The white polishing foam pads feature high absorption foam for the application of waxes, micro-fine polishes and sealants. This pad has very light cutting power so it’s perfect for pre-wax cleaners.

The lambswool pad is best used as a cushion underneath a bonnet on your Porter Cable 7424. The wool pad serves as a barrier between the bonnet and the backing plate. Unlike foam pads that can be crushed under a bonnet, the lambswool pad retains its shape and can be used for light compounding if you desire.

Pinnacle XMT Polishing Foam Pad Cleaner contains a degreasing agent that breaks up oil and eliminates every last trace of residue. Soap (as in dish soap) can leave a residue of its own, so there is no soap in this cleaner.
