Wolfgang Plastik Lens Cleaning System

A three-part system for clean, clear headlight lenses! Cloudy, scratched headlight lens covers are a safety hazard as well as a blemish on your vehicle. This condition occurs because the plastic is overexposed to UV light. The cloudiness starts at the exterior surface of the lens cover and spreads inward. If caught quickly, this damage can be removed by simply polishing the plastic until it is clear again. Wolfgang has developed a three-part system that cleans and clarifies plastic lens covers. By removing the cloudiness from the lens, more light is able to pass through the lens cover to better illuminate the road ahead. You can see the road and other drivers can see you. The Wolfgang Lens Cleaning System consists of Wolfgang Plastik Lens Cleaner, Wolfgang Plastik Surface Sealant, and Wolfgang Plastik Lens Glaze. Used together, these products will restore the clarity and smoothness to your plastic lens covers. The Wolfgang Lens Cleaning System includes:
8 oz. Wolfgang Plastik Surface Sealant
4 oz. Wolfgang Plastik Lens Cleaner
4 oz. Wolfgang Plastik Lens Glaze
1 microfiber towel
1 orange Low Profile 4” pad
1 black Low Profile 4” pad
1 backing plate
1 drill adapter
Wolfgang Plastik Lens Cleaner
Wolfgang Plastik Lens Cleaner is a clarifying polish that removes scratches and haze from clear plastic. Abrasives smooth rough spots and even out the edges of scratches to restore the uniform appearance of the plastic. By cleaning out dirt and debris and removing the outermost layer of damaged plastic, Wolfgang Plastik Lens Cleaner restores the clarity of the plastic to like-new condition. Wolfgang Plastik Lens Glaze
After polishing your lens covers with Plastik Lens Cleaner, use Wolfgang Plastik Lens Glaze to refine the surface. Then, finalize the entire process with a protective coat of Wolfgang Plastik Surface Sealant. The system is designed to be used with 4” pads and your electric drill. The included backing plate fits directly onto a drill or circular polisher. The small size of the pad will lessen the likelihood of abrading the paint surrounding the headlight lenses as you polish. Wolfgang Plastik Surface Sealant
Wolfgang Plastik Surface Sealant forms a clear barrier over your plastic lenses to shield them from contamination and UV rays. The sealant is formulated to seal clear plastic without streaking or yellowing. It dries crystal clear so your headlights look and perform better. Rather than lighting the road ahead with a dull, filtered glow, you’ll see bright beams of light shining on everything in your path. By blocking out UV rays, this sealant prevents the clouding that occurs on older lenses. 1 Orange Low Profile 4” Pad
Use the orange pad to apply Wolfgang Plastik Lens Cleaner to your headlight lens covers. The orange pad has a light cut so it allows the cleaner to remove the haze and scratches from the plastic lens. 1 Black Low Profile Pad
The black pad has no cut and should be used to apply Wolfgang Plastik Lens Glaze. The soft pad will not scratch the lens as the glaze gently clarifies the plastic surface. 1 – 2 ¾” Backing Plate, 5/8" thread
This small backing plate allows you to use 4” pads on your drill or circular polisher. With a diameter of 2 ¾”, there is a large buffer zone between the edge of the plate and the edge of the pad. Screw the backing plate directly onto your circular polisher or use the included adapter to use the plate with your drill. 1 Drill Adapter
The drill adapter allows you to screw the 2 ¾” backing plate into your electric or cordless drill. Tighten adapter into backing plate with a wrench. This is the recommended method of applying the products in the Wolfgang Plastik Lens Cleaning System. 1 Cobra Microfiber Towel
Buff your lenses to a crystal clear shine with this soft, microfiber towel. With over 220,000 threads per square inch, it will never scratch any surface. DIRECTIONS:

We tried the Wolfgang Plastik Lens Cleaning System on a 2001 Windstar van with clouded, scratches headlight lens covers. This van had been driven 123,000 miles all over South Florida without any sort of plastic protection. As you can see, the lens covers had become cloudy and scratched. Follow these steps to see how we went from ugly haze to crystal clear. 1. Clean loose debris and dirt from the lenses. Tape off the paint around the lenses using blue painter’s tape. This tape is easier to remove than masking tape and has no adverse effects on the clear coat. 2. Pour a circle of Wolfgang Plastik Lens Cleaner onto an orange Low Profile Pad. The cut of this pad will help break down the abrasives in the polish as it removes the haze. Press the pad to the lens cover. If you are using a cordless drill, polish at the highest speed. Use the lowest speed on an electric drill. If you are using an orbital polisher, set the speed between 1200 and 1500 RPM. Go over the lens several times in different directions until the polish starts to dry. Use a microfiber towel to buff away the residue. If the lens is still cloudy, repeat this step. 3. Switch the pad to a gray pad. Pour a circle of Wolfgang Plastik Lens Glaze onto the pad. Press it to the lens cover and turn the machine on at the speeds listed above. Work in different directions until the glaze starts to dry. Buff off the residue with a microfiber towel. 4. For a final touch, use Wolfgang Plastik Surface Sealant to seal and protect your lenses. This will keep your lenses clear and clean. Use it on plastic windows and motorcycle windshields, too.. Once we were done with this van, the headlight lenses looked almost new. Keep in mind that it’s easier to clean lenses when you catch the damage early. Severely clouded, scratched lenses will show marked improvement, but they may not completely clear up. Even so, Wolfgang Plastik Lens Cleaning System will improve the clarity of the lenses enough to avoid lens replacement in most cases. After 4 years and over 100,000 miles, this van’s lenses look like new! Safety first! The Wolfgang Plastik Lens Cleaning System will restore the clarity to your headlight lens covers to improve your visibility at night and maintain the beauty of your vehicle. Before you replace those lenses, restore them!
