Washing your vehicle prior to wax application isn’t always enough. Many car washes do not remove old wax. Layering over old wax can produce an uneven shine or diminish the effectiveness of the new wax. Also, any contaminants left after washing should be removed so they are not sealed under the new coat of wax.
