Cut through deep scratches in one or two passes!
On our wish list of perfect products is a compound that doesn’t produce tons of dust and doesn’t dry up before the job is done. Optimum has granted our wish with Hyper Compound, their remarkable compound designed for professional detailers and body shops. You’ve never used a compound like this!
Optimum Hyper Compound is designed to tackle your toughest paint problems with zero dusting and an infinite work time. That’s right – infinite. The lubricants do not dry up so there’s no risk of dry polishing. Amazing!
Even though Hyper Compound is full of lubricants, it contains no silicone oils or wax. It’s completely body shop safe.
Use Optimum Hyper Compound to remove up to 2000 grit sand scratches with a cutting pad and your rotary polisher. With a light cutting pad, this compound will remove up to 1500 grit scratches. Designed primarily for professionals and experienced detailers, Optimum Hyper Compound works best with a high speed rotary (circular) polisher.
Once you’ve compounded, you may see a light haze or fine swirls. This is a totally normal side effect of compounding. Simply go back over the area with Optimum Polish and a polishing pad to remove the tiny swirls and restore a deep, reflective gloss.
All Optimum products meet or exceed federal and California VOC regulations.
If a dust-free, long-working compound is at the top of your wish list, stop dreaming and start compounding with Optimum Hyper Compound!
Directions:
- The vehicle should be clean before it is compounded.
- Attach a cutting or light cutting pad on your rotary polisher and set the maximum speed to 1500.
- Apply three lines of compound to the pad or to the paint surface. Spread it over the panel with the pad. Be sure the polisher is off while you spread the compound.
- Turn the polisher on and work the compound in overlapping, figure eight motions. Check your work after two or three passes with the machine. If the blemishes are gone, buff the paint clean and move to the next section.
- Always follow up with a finishing polish like Optimum Polish. Then apply a layer of Optimum Car Wax.
