For spot correction, use the only 3 inch pads with hybrid foam and wool technology. Meguiars W4003 Easy Buff Knitted Wool 3 Inch Pads combine the cutting ability of wool with a thick layer of dense foam. Remove isolated scratches with less risk of burning the paint!
The "business end" of the Meguiars W4003 Easy Buff Knitted Wool 3 Inch Pad is covered with 1/2 inch knitted wool to level scratches and swirls. The shorter fibers cut better than longer wool fibers and they tangle less.
On the back of the wool is a thick foam pad. The foam provides a buffer against the heat and vibration of the polisher or drill. It also offsets the pad from the machine a little more so you can really see what you're doing. With such a tall pad, you're less likely to hit the edge of the backing plate on the paint, even in concave areas.
Use a 2 3/4 to 3 inch rotary backing plate to attach these pads to your rotary/ circular polisher. Use the Spot Buffs Drill Adapter and the 2 3/4 inch rotary backing plate to use these pads with a drill.
