Want to look like you just returned from a Sunday drive on the Autobahn? The German Oval Tourist Plate is a sharp addition to any vehicle, but especially German-made vehicles. It gives them an air of authenticity since this plate is a reproduction of the Tourist or Export plate issued by the German government. Onlookers will think you and your vehicle just came from Germany since this plate is indistinguishable from the real thing.
The Oval Tourist Plate is arranged quite differently from the German EEC Plate: three characters on the top line and up to five letters on the bottom. A, M, and W count as two characters. You have two choices when choosing your plate: random or custom.
By choosing random, a computer generates the figures that will appear on your plate. This will look most authentic since that’s how they do it in Germany.
If you pick Custom, you can select your own characters. Use the comment box on the order form below to indicate what you would like your plate to say. Please allow two weeks for delivery of your custom plate.
The plate measures 14”wide x 8.5” high. They are made of quality .032 aluminum, as are all the Euro-Plates. The German Oval Plate is not pre-drilled. Use double-sided automotive tape or drill holes to mount the plate. If you choose to drill, the Altec License Plate Mounting Kit will give you all the hardware you need to mount the plate.
Each plate has black embossed letters on a white reflective background.
