Your first step on the path to shiny, highly polished aluminum is Flitz Aluminum Preclean.
Flitz Aluminum Preclean is an industrial strength cleaner that removes severe corrosion from the surface prior to polishing. With the big stuff out of the way, your metal polish can concentrate on its real job – creating a bright, reflective shine. Preclean removes heavily encrusted corrosion, rust, calcium, lime, tarnish, grease, oil and water stains from aluminum surfaces. On a clean surface, you favorite polish will work better and more easily.
Flitz Aluminum Preclean also cleans glass, aluminum, fiberglass, tile, brass, copper, acrylics, and plastic. Preclean automotive and motorcycle surfaces, as well as RVs and ATVs. Use it around the house to remove soap scum and heavy green tarnish from lighting and bathroom fixtures. The intense spray cleaner can be used as a spot cleaner or as an all-over precleaner prior to waxing or sealing.
Flitz Aluminum Preclean will not dull aluminum! Highly reflective metals such as this are particularly sensitive to aggressive cleaners and polishes, but Flitz Aluminum Preclean has the gentle touch to clean without dulling.
Directions: To use, spray Flitz Aluminum Preclean full strength onto desired surface. Let the spray sit for 7-10 minutes. Scrub the surface with a sturdy, nylon scrub brush where needed. Rinse well with water. Repeat on heavily encrusted areas. Preclean leaves its own protective coating on the surface but you’ll want to apply Flitz Metal Polish, Fiberglass & Paint Restorer to enhance the shine and prolong the protection.
