Take your detailing regimen to The Edge! The Edge Pads are the most innovative way to polish your vehicle without backing plates. Instead, they feature a Quick Change Adapter that allows you to snap pads on and off in seconds. Because there’s no hook & loop fasteners, these pads are double-sided. You get twice the surface area and you save the cost of a backing plate. The reticulated polyester urethane foam pads are just as effective as any single sided pad, but they stay in place better and last longer.
 The difference between The Edge Pads and ordinary foam pads is the Quick Change System. Pads snap on and off in a matter of seconds. Just push the release button on the Edge Quick Change Adapter and the pad pops off. Snap on a new pad and keep polishing. This system replaces backing plates that can sometimes allow the pad to slip. With The Edge system, the pad always stays in place.
The Edge 8 Inch DuraFoam Pads are beveled to allow you to polish in crevices and under mirrors. With the other kind of pad, you have to reach these places by hand. The Edge Pads give you more control by eliminating the hard edges of a backing plate.
Because these pads are double-sided, buying one Edge Pad is like buying two ordinary foam pads. You save money and you get a superior polishing system.
Use the Edge Quick Change Adapter (sold separately) to attach the The Edge Pads to any orbital polisher. No backing plate is required. These pads come in 5 varieties to tackle any polishing or buffing job.
Black Heavy Cutting Pad
This is the most aggressive pad and is used for restoration of badly pitted, oxidized paint finishes. It is designed to cut through damaged paint in preparation for refinishing. The black pad should not be used on new or like-new finishes.
Yellow Cutting Pad
This pad is aggressive, and will cut through moderate surface marks and swirls. They work well on moderate to heavy oxidation and pitted finishes, and will remove wet sand scratches without causing burning.
Green Medium Cutting Pad
This pad is useful for light oxidation and moderate to severe swirls and imperfections. This pad will yield amazing results on older vehicles, and should be used on vehicles with moderate swirls and imperfections. Add a compound or pre-wax cleaner for a flawless finish on base coats.
Blue Finishing Pad
This pad is great for everyday use. It will leave surface areas scratch-free and smooth while still removing light swirls and imperfections. Use with wax and polish to apply a fine gloss. Safe on clear coats.
White Ultrafine Polishing Pad
This ultra-smooth polishing pad contains 80 pores per inch, allowing for fine polishing which creates a bold, crystalline gloss Use this pad to apply waxes, polishes and sealants. Safe on clear coats.
Red LSP Finishing Pad
The red pad is softer than the white pad, which makes it perfect for new car finishes. Apply last step products, like waxes, sealants and glazes without fear of abrasion. The red pad also makes layering products easier. Apply multiple coats of your favorite wax or sealant with the red lsp foam pad.
