CCX 8 inch pads run cooler than traditional flat pads!

The Edge 2000 pads introduced the detailing world to double-sided pads with the Quick Connect Adapter. Now they’re reinventing the buffing pad again with the Edge 3000 Cross Cut (CCX) 8 Inch Foam Pads. With a cross cut design, these pads provide smoother, cooler operation to give you better results.

The Edge 3000 Cross Cut (CCX) 8 Inch Foam Pads are double-sided just like the Edge 2000 pads, and they use the adapters just like the Edge 2000 pads. The difference is the cross cut diamond pattern. The CCX design provides channels for air to pass underneath the pad. The benefits are two-fold: the air breaks the surface tension so the pad moves more easily across the surface, and the air dissipates some of the heat buildup to reduce the risk of burning the paint. Burning the paint is always a risk with a rotary polisher and the Edge 3000 Cross Cut (CCX) 8 Inch Foam Pads do their part to minimize that risk.

CCX pads keep 80% of the pad on the working surface for faster working times. Many convoluted or wavy pads significantly reduce the amount of surface contact. The Edge 3000 Cross Cut (CCX) 8 Inch Foam Pads keep most of the foam on the paint so you get more done.

The Edge 3K Cross Cut X (CCX) 8 Inch Pads have all the benefits of The Edge System. Each pad attaches to the polisher using a Quick Change Adapter. The adapter pops into a plastic plate in the center of the pad. This connection system ensures that the pad is always balanced and centered, automatically. And, because there’s no backing plate, there’s no risk of striking the paint if you tilt the pad. A quick release button allows you to change pads in seconds.

The Edge 3K Cross Cut X (CCX) 8 Inch Pads are available in the following foam varieties:

	Black Heavy Cutting Pad This is the most aggressive pad and is used for restoration of badly pitted, oxidized paint finishes. It is designed to cut through damaged paint in preparation for refinishing. The black pad should not be used on new or like-new finishes.
	Yellow Cutting Pad The yellow pad is a medium-cut pad used for light oxidation and moderate to severe swirls and imperfections. It works wonders on older vehicles with neglected paint. Use it to apply a swirl remover or a polishing compound to blend away more severe imperfections.
	Green Medium Cutting Pad The green pad is a medium-cut pad intended for removing light to moderate swirls and imperfections. This versatile pad works well with swirl removers and is clear coat safe.
	White Polishing Pad The white pad is a soft, smooth pad that contains 80 pores per inch. It delivers a beautiful, glossy finish when used to apply prewax cleaners, cleaner waxes, and sealants.
	Blue Finishing Pad The blue pad is an everyday, nonabrasive pad for product application. It will apply pre-wax cleaner or wax in a thin coat without abrading the clear coat. Your paint will appear smooth and uniform.

The Edge 3K Cross Cut X (CCX) 8 Inch Pads are recommended for rotary polishers.

Use the Edge 2K Drive Adapter 5/8" Thread. For heavy duty jobs, use the Edge 3000 Industrial Adapter with 5/8" thread.

Both adapters work with 8 Inch and 8 inch Edge pads.
