I’ve been in the car care industry for over 25 years and I’ve seen a lot of changes. When I started out, car care products were limited to car wash, polish, and wax. Detailing at home consisted of a quick wash and wax! If you wanted any compounding or paint correcting, you took your vehicle to a professional detailer or body shop.
When I decided to venture into the manufacture of car care products nearly ten years ago, the industry still favored the professional. Products weren’t as user-friendly as they are today, and the consumer demand wasn’t as strong for do-it-yourself car care. For these reasons, I created and launched Detailer’s Pride for the professional detailing industry.
Detailer’s Pride was my first brand of products, and creating it was quite an experience. It was learning process as well as a creating process. I knew what I wanted from a product, but I had to know what a detailer wanted. These guys are the ones in the garages using the products every day, and their opinions are what shaped the Detailer’s Pride line. It took countless conversations, product tests, and re-formulations to arrive at the products that finally received the Detailer’s Pride label. In the end, I believe we created some of the best products on the market…
But that was over a decade ago. Time certainly flies! Since then, I’ve added to and improved Pinnacle Natural Brilliance, and I’ve created Wolfgang Concours Series, a line of products formulated using state-of-the-art German technology. With each brand, I discovered that car care technology is constantly changing. Research into paint care has revealed oils and cleaning agents that actually leave the paint in better condition than before it was washed. New polymers allow waxes and sealants to last longer and protect better than ever before. The latest cleaning technology replaces harsh solvents with surface-friendly surfactants that can be used almost anywhere. The industry has come a long way!
With all these improvements in car care, I thought it was the perfect time to update Detailer’s Pride. I took everything I have learned through the development of Pinnacle Natural Brilliance and Wolfgang Concours Series and applied it to this new project. I improved the formulas, the labels, and the name to reflect what is now possible in car care. To celebrate the rebirth of Detailer’s Pride, I’ve abbreviated the name to DP.
I am pleased to introduce DP - exceptional car care products for the professional, enthusiast, and everyday driver!
DP consists of 20 completely new products. I’ve re-formulated a few old favorites to reflect modern surface enhancement technology, and I’ve created several products from scratch. All of them are packaged with new, detailed user instructions and a fresh, new look. Once again, I relied on professional detailers and enthusiasts to try out these products and give us feedback. Their comments and concerns helped me make a line of technologically advanced yet user-friendly products that will appeal to anyone with an interest in making vehicles look their best. All DP products meet or exceed Federal and California VOC regulations without sacrificing results, and they are an excellent value.
The mission of DP is to make professional-quality car care available to everyone by utilizing the latest advances in the industry. I believe we’ve accomplished that goal and so much more. Two additions to the line that I’m particularly proud of are DP Wheel Glaze and DP Spray Surface Shield. Wheel Glaze is an advanced wheel surface cleaner and protectant that reduces brake dust adhesion and preserves the wheel’s appearance. Wheel protection is still a relatively new idea in the industry and we’re happy to have one of the first wheel protectants on the market.
DP Spray Surface Shield Paint Sealant is the first product of its kind anywhere. It’s a premium paint sealant in a spray formula. It provides virtually the same paint protection and enhancement as a traditional sealant, but the spray formula makes it exceptionally quick and easy to apply. It took months of research and development to get the right combination of ingredients, but I think you’ll love the result.
Another product of note is DP Max Wax. This is a pure carnauba paste wax that will give your paint a deep, liquid shimmer. The clarity and multi-dimensional quality of this wax impressed me so much, I put my name on it.I’m so confident in its performance that I challenge you to try it next to any carnauba paste wax in its class. The quality and value of this wax can’t be beat, and I’m willing to stake my name on it.
Quality, performance, and value are as important today as they were a decade ago. DP continues to represent a high standard in auto care that enthusiasts, professionals, and casual detailers can appreciate. With DP, you don’t have to be a professional to detail like one.
