| | Cobra Indigo Microfiber Polishing Cloth 6 Pack | | Excellent grip for removing dried waxes and polishes!
The trend in microfiber thus far has been, “How soft can we make it?” Manufacturers have mimicked suede, velvet, silk – you name it, there’s a microfiber out there that feels just as soft.
Softness has its place in detailing (for final buffing; the softer, the better) but the fluffiest towel isn’t always the best at removing wax. Waxes that dry to a white chalk or paint sealants that stick like glue can be tough to remove with just any towel. That’s why Cobra designed a different kind of microfiber towel with a special weave that gives it outstanding “grip”. It’s called the Cobra Indigo Microfiber Polishing Cloth and it’s guaranteed to become your towel of choice for wax and polish removal.

What makes this towel different? It’s all in the weave. The Cobra Indigo has a 70/30 blend of polyester and polyamide that makes it incomparably soft, yet tough. The threads are woven into a dense loop structure that literally grabs the surface of your vehicle and whisks away any residues, dirt, or chalk.
The loops are small and numerous, leaving a tiny trough between each row of loops for wax or polish to accumulate. This design allows the Cobra Indigo to keep buffing when other towels become caked and ineffective. Thick paste waxes, super-bonding sealants, and even the chalky waxes all wipe away with the Cobra Indigo, leaving a glossy, smooth finish.
Like all Cobra microfiber, the Indigo Polishing Cloth will not scratch any surface. The silky microfibers are too soft and too fine to leave a mark on your vehicle.
For added protection, the Cobra Indigo has no hem. Due to the unique weave structure, the towel doesn’t need one. The looped weave is so intricate and dense; it will not unravel, even after repeated washings. The lack of a hem eliminates any risk of this cloth scratching the paint. Again, the Indigo is just as durable without the hem and it’s safer for your vehicle.
The Indigo has no tag to further protect the paint, but the quality and texture tell you its Cobra.

To test the Cobra Indigo Polishing Cloth, we applied different waxes to panels of the same vehicle. On the driver’s door, we applied Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant. On the hood, we applied Mothers California Gold Carnauba Wax. On the roof, we applied P21S Concours Carnauba Wax. These three products all dry to different consistencies. We thought the most challenging would be the Mothers wax because it dries to a white haze.
As it turns out, none of these products posed a problem for the Cobra Indigo Polishing Cloth. The microfiber cloth easily wiped away each product in one or two passes. After a final buff with a Cobra Miracle Towel, our technician was pleased to find no white dust left by the Mothers and no smears or smudges created by the other two products. The paint was clean and shiny, and we are pleased to report that our tech’s arm isn’t sore at all.
Give the Cobra Indigo Polishing Cloth a try on your own vehicle. No matter what you put on your paint, the Indigo can take it off!
Note: The Cobra Indigo is part of the new wave in microfiber: the towel is composed of Korean split-weave microfiber, the best in the business, but the final step of the manufacturing process takes place in China, where production costs are significantly lower. (This is the same process used to create the Cobra Super Plush Deluxe Microfiber Towel, which is an excellent testament to the superior quality and value that can be achieved through shared manufacturing.) For this reason, you get more quality microfiber for the money with the Cobra Indigo Microfiber Towel.
