Designed specifically for dual action polishers, these pads are made of dense, closed cell foam that will not deteriorate as you polish. Equipping your dual action polisher with Smart Pads™ with CCS Technology is as easy as slapping them onto your 5 inch backing plate, and thanks to the convenient hook-and-loop backing, switching between the useful varieties of Smart Pads™ is just as simple.
These pads feature CCS technology. The Closed Cell Structures covering the pad eliminate produce waste by reducing the amount of polish absorbed into the pads.
Smart Pads™ are manufactured by Lake Country Manufacturing, the maker of premium polisher pads and accessories. All pads have Velcro® brand hook & loop fasteners to secure the pad to the backing plate.
The heat generated by certain polishers causes the bond between lesser quality pads and their hook-and-loop backing to weaken. This will not happen with Smart Pads™, as they are created with an advanced bonding system that permanently secures the hook-and-loop backing directly to the pad. Additionally, Smart Pads™ have been upgraded to feature hook-and-loop material all they way to the foam’s outermost edges to ensure the most secure hold possible.

CCS 6.5 inch Yellow Cutting Foam Pad
Made of slightly abrasive foam for wearing down the surface of badly scratched, swirled, oxidized or water spotted paint or clear coat. This will reveal a deeper layer, as it exfoliates old, dead paint and evens out the surface. Used in conjunction with a compound or polish it will refresh your dull, chalky paint.
CCS 6.5 inch Orange Light Cutting Foam Pad
This pad is the perfect all around pad. It works wonderfully with swirl removers to smooth out light to moderate paint imperfections. This firm, dense foam is the most versatile and popular pad we carry.
CCS 6.5 inch White Flat Polishing Foam Pad
This pad has very light cutting power. It is designed to apply waxes and sealants, but can also be used for pre-wax cleaners. This is a medium density foam that absorbs excess product to minimize splatter and deliver an even application.
CCS 6.5 inch Black Finishing Foam
Least abrasive. Composition is firm enough to withstand added pressure during final finishing to remove buffer swirls. Use with machine glaze or finishing polish. Ultra-soft and incredible for a putting on that finishing touch.
Lambswool Leveling Pad
Lambswool pads are essential if you use bonnets on your polisher, or if your vehicle has unsightly oxidation and pitting. Tough but fluffy lambswool will become a necessary tool in your detailing arsenal. When covered with a bonnet, the lambswool pad provides a fluffy layer between the bonnet and the backing plate to protect your paint from the edges of the plate. It also evens out the pressure applied by the polisher so wax goes on evenly and buffing is a breeze. When used alone, the lambswool pad becomes a serious leveling pad that aggressively attacks oxidation and rough patches in your paint. The random motion of the dual-action polisher drags the tough lambswool across the blemishes to smooth them down and prep them for the next step in the detailing process. Just be careful of potential swirls.
2 Cobra 70/30 Microfiber Bonnets
Cobra six-inch microfiber bonnets are well-made, reversible, and machine washable. Cover your foam pad directly or layer them over the lambswool leveling pad for a more cushioned application. Either way, they are superior at final buffing.
2 Cobra Terry Bonnets
Stretch your terry bonnet over a lamswool pad for protection and additional polishing action. It will stay perfectly in its place while you use the machine’s energy rather than your own to whisk away the majority of polish or wax. For best results follow up with a pass over the entire car with a microfiber bonnet.When using a terry bonnet to remove wax or polish, keep an eye on the condition of the bonnet. When it becomes laden with wax or polish simply reverse it. Continuing to use it in that state will only spread additional product back onto the surface.
Cobra Microfiber Detailing Towel(16 x 16 inches)
Constructed of the finest quality microfibers the Cobra Detailing Towel sets the standard with an outstanding 80/20 blend of polyester/polyamide filament, woven so densely they boast over 200,000 strands of fiber per square inch of fabric! These strands are nearly invisible to the naked eye, and are 100 times smaller than a human hair! Use this cloth for cleaning, buffing, and wiping away wax.
Dual Action 5 Inch HD Hook & Loop Backing Plate
Constructed of flexible urethane, this 5 inch backing plate has hook and loop material permanently secured from edge to edge. A recessed edge protects the paint from impact and the post is made of durable stainless steel. The 5/16 inch thread fits any dual action polisher with a corresponding thread.

To clean pads by hand use Detailer's Pro Series Polishing Pad Rejuvenator. Mix one scoopful of this citrus cleaner with 3-4 gallons of water. Allow the pads to soak for up to 15 minutes. Agitate them using a Foam Pad Conditioning Brush. When the pads appear clean, rinse them in clean water and allow them to air dry.
