The Edge 2000™ is a radical new system for machine buffing. Created with the buffing enthusiast in mind, the high-quality, long lasting Buffing Foam Pads were designed for easy interchanging through a system that allows each pad to snap on and off the orbital buffer through The Edge™ Quick Connect Adapter. These pads are double-sided, and there is no longer a need to use backing plates, which means that the top side of the buffer will always feature the top side of the pad, allowing for buffing under mirrors and tight contours. No More Backing Plates. Backing plates can sometimes scratch and cause imperfections, when ironically those are the surface problems buffing should be reversing! Backing plates are not necessary through this system. Simply attach The Edge™ Quick Change Adapter to a dual action buffer, then snap the pad in place. To interchange pads, press the release button on the adapter and switch pads. This system makes it possible to change from a cutting pad to a polishing pad in seconds!
Double Sided for Longevity. Most buffing pads are single-sided and only last so long. The Edge™ Premium 6 Inch Foam Pads are double-sided, and will last at least twice as long as single-sided pads. Each double-sided pad has the power to maintain an average of 20-30 cars!
Pads are Centered Every Time. The Edge System automatically centers pads onto the orbital buffer.

The Edge Yellow Cutting Pad
The yellow pad is a medium-cut pad used for light oxidation and moderate to severe swirls and imperfections. It works wonders on older vehicles with neglected paint. Use it to apply a swirl remover or a polishing compound to blend away more severe imperfections. This dense pad has 50 pores per inch.
The Edge Green Medium Cutting Pad
The green pad is a medium-cut pad intended for removing light to moderate swirls and imperfections. This versatile pad works well with swirl removers and is clear coat safe.. This pad has 60 pores per inch.
The Edge Orange Light Cutting Pad
The orange pad is designed to remove light swirls and scratches. It is less aggressive than the green pad, but has more cutting power than the white pad. Start with this pad if your paint is in new or like-new condition overall, with just a few light swirls. Use it with light swirl removers and polishes.
The Edge White Polishing Pad
The white pad is a soft, smooth pad that contains 80 pores per inch. It delivers a beautiful, glossy finish when used to apply prewax cleaners, cleaner waxes, and sealants. This pad is safe on clear coats.
The Edge Blue Finishing Pad
The blue pad is an everyday, nonabrasive pad for product application. It will apply pre-wax cleaner or wax in a thin coat without abrading the clear coat. Your paint will appear smooth and uniform. This softer pad has 70 pores per inch.
