3M's Double-Sided Pads make paint correction more convenient and effective, but only if you have the right adapter. The 3M Quick Release Rotary Adaptor works with any rotary polisher to securely hold 3M Double-Sided Pads. A locking system prevents the pad from coming off during operation, and the pad stays balanced automatically.
The 3M Quick Release Rotary Adaptor works just like a standard quick connector. When you press a pad onto the adapter, it automatically locks, making it impossible for the pad to come off unless you release it. This stainless steel locking mechanism is factory calibrated to hold securely, even during rigorous use such as polishing stone or marble. The adapter is made of heavy duty, machined brass with a chrome finish.
To release the pad, simply pull back on the slider ring until it clicks. The pad should pop off.
When you use the 3M Quick Release Rotary Adaptor, the pad is automatically balanced. There is no wobbling or extra vibration. The adapter sits in the center of the pad, so there's no backing plate. The adapter is positioned within the pad so contact with the paint is impossible.
