When you compound with a rotary polisher, you want to take every precaution to ensure a perfect finish. The 3M Perfect-It™ Double Sided 8 Inch Foam Compounding Pad puts you in control with a heat-reducing convoluted foam and convenient double-sided construction. Use this pad with a rotary polisher to remove heavy swirls, scratches, and oxidation.
The 3M Perfect-It™ Double Sided Foam Compounding Pad is made of dense but flexible foam. The wavy texture allows heat to escape from underneath the pad, thereby reducing the risk of burning the paint. Because of the high speed circular motion of a rotary polisher, the wavy design doesn't impact the performance of the pad. There is still plenty of paint contact to polish the vehicle effectively.
The 3M Perfect-It™ Double Sided Foam Compounding Pad attaches to a rotary polisher using the 3M Quick Release Adapter. The pad has a center plate with an opening in the middle. The adapter locks into this opening and the pad is automatically balanced on the polisher. Excess foam around the edge of the pad keeps the internal plate from coming into contact with the vehicle. When you need a clean pad, simply release the adapter and flip the pad over.
