The 3 inch Grip Easy™ Molded Urethane Dual Action Flexible Backing Plate is perfect for the Griots 3 Inch Polisher
This molded urethane backing plate is made with steel struts molded into the center of the plate to give it stability. The urethane gives the plate some flexibility. The plate will bend slightly at the edges to compensate for the rounded surfaces of your vehicle. The edge of the plate is recessed so that you cannot accidentally bump the plate on your vehicle’s paint.
In addition to flexibility, the urethane has an excellent resistance to heat. It minimizes the transfer of heat to the pad to prevent paint burning. The urethane also reduces spontaneous heat build-up. Overall, you get a safer polish with the Dual Action 3 Inch Flexible Backing Plate.
The backing plate has Velcro® brand hook & loop fasteners molded into the urethane from edge to edge. The fasteners provide a secure hold to Lake Country Foam Pads, which are also equipped with Velcro® brand fasteners. Use a 3.5 inch or 4 inch pad with this plate.
